  13. Myself and two others have been having similar problems and so far though
  14. the list of us (you now being added) is growing, no solutions have been offered.

  16. My problem also involves the amiga 'freezing' during routine formats of
  17. my Emplant SCSI-connected 850 meg hard drive.  I have resolved it only
  18. by resorting to an old A2091 that I have.  I doubt strongly that your
  19. problem has to do with your drives max transfer values etc., that info
  20. was successfully read off my drive and has stayed the same now that it
  21. is connected to the A2091.  I can tell you the following for sure.

  23. The problem is indifferent to Buster revisons (I have an 09, others an 11)
  24.  
  25. The problem tends to be lessened or go away entirely when the Drive is used 
  26. exclusively for the Mac (you'll need a SCSI prep program like Silverlining
  27. if you go this route).  But the Amiga loses access to the drive, obviously.

  29. My Emplant connected CD-ROM functions fine on *both* sides of my system
  30. (though not simultaneausly- CD0 cannot be mounted if the Emulation is to
  31. use the drive).

  33. And finally, you are the first person I've noted to experience the problem
  34. who is *not* using a Quantum SCSI drive.

  36. This last may offer you some hope.
